Downtown Colorado, Inc. Now Accepting Applications for Participation in

2014 Downtown Colorado Sustainability Partnership (DCSP)

Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit membership organization committed to building better communities through educational and technical assistance, will now be accepting applications for communities interested in receiving grant assistance or discounted services for technical assistance in 2014.

Downtown Colorado Sustainability Partnership (DCSP) Program: Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) technical assistance programs serve as a platform through which local communities are able to harness and leverage financial investment in their downtowns. Since 2004, DCI has provided low-cost technical assistance to 59 Colorado communities; as a majority of these communities are low-income, DCI has partnered with state and federal agencies to provide funding matches.

The DCSP program provides communities services valued at over $35,000 at an affordable price, $15,000 or less. This cost-effective, technical assistance program features a preparatory period to compile and analyze market data and local preferences, developing tools, surveys, reports, and recommendations previously developed, engaging stakeholders and business owners, and strategically identify team of DCI staff, consultants, and downtown professionals that visit communities statewide in two-day assessments to provide a user-friendly work-plan for downtowns to capitalize on their resources, and ignite excitement for downtown revitalization efforts. This sustainable partnership continues following the visit and includes planning for a one month follow up meeting, and two follow up visits including the facilitation of a Community Activation Meeting that keeps the momentum going for your community's downtown revitalization initiatives.

Communities who complete the online application form by January 31, 2014 will be included in grant proposals to receive grants for up to $7500 towards the DCSP program benefits.
